Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify, develop, and convert client opportunities into security service contracts. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth and achieving margin and profit targets while fostering strong relationships with both new and existing clients.

Successfully develop client opportunities and relationships, converting them into long-term, profitable security service contracts that align with the company’s growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, continually mapping the market for potential prospects.
Develop and execute a two-pronged strategy to expand local business and establish a stronger presence in the wider construction sector.
Proactively engage in monthly sales activities and track progress against targets.
Lead and contribute to the overall client development strategy, driving innovative client engagement initiatives.
Attend industry events and networking opportunities to build brand visibility and position yourself as a market expert.
Actively participate in relevant industry associations and professional groups to expand professional influence.
Lead new client pitches and high-value account opportunities, ensuring a strong pipeline of business prospects.
Collaborate with the social media team to contribute to industry-related content and build an engaging online presence.
Establish and manage an industry-focused LinkedIn group and related networking events.
Account Growth & Relationship Management
Leverage relationships within existing client accounts to identify and maximize additional commercial opportunities.
Proactively network within current accounts to explore cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
Conduct regular client review meetings to strengthen relationships and ensure continued satisfaction.
Utilize LinkedIn and industry publications to stay informed of key personnel changes and potential business opportunities.
Sales Performance & Target Achievement
Regularly analyse performance metrics via CRM tools to ensure alignment with sales targets.
Proactively identify and engage with new projects and networking opportunities to maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Demonstrate strong client development skills and an ability to convert leads into successful contracts.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding new business targets.
Strong ability to engage and build relationships at all levels, from operational contacts to C-suite executives.
Skilled in identifying client pain points and presenting tailored solutions with confidence.
Demonstrated experience in developing new business relationships from the ground up.
Residing within South Wales (or within a one-hour commute to Cardiff).
Desirable:
Previous sales experience in the security services sector.
Exposure to the construction industry, with an understanding of its dynamics and key players.
