The BDM will meet or exceed sales objectives and outcomes for new business acquisition, delivering professional cost-benefit and needs analyses to tailor solutions to each customer’s requirements. Additionally, they will develop and present high-quality, professionally written business cases to support proposals.

Pipeline Development and Management:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for planning strategically and developing a robust pipeline of new business opportunities within the assigned territory. They will track the sales process in Salesforce, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for each prospect. The BDM will regularly analyse territory potential, track sales, and produce progress and status reports as required.

Market Intelligence and Event Engagement:

The BDM will identify and attend local and regional industry events, such as association functions and conferences, to provide market intelligence on industry trends to marketing and management. They will collaborate with marketing and regional or national management on market trends to support the development of positioning, differentiators, new products, services, partners, and distribution channels.

Client Handover and Relationship Management:

The BDM will introduce the relevant Key Account Manager to the account at an appropriate stage, ensuring an effective handover of the relationship once the new business is successfully closed. They will identify and negotiate framework agreements and SLAs with legal and regional management to ensure that company and client expectations are managed.

Additional Duties and Compliance:
